Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas will take no part in the Emirates Cup – Telegraph.
News from The Emirates Stdium reveals that Arsenal coach Arsene Wenger has ruled out Cesc Fabregas’s participation in an upcoming pre-season tournament, The Emirates Cup, a yearly event held at the home of the North London club. Not surprisingly, the Frenchman is growing tired of the transfer saga that is surrounding the Spanish midfielder regarding a possible move to Barcelona.
His elimination from the squad suggests that he is being held out through fear of injury that would scupper any move, which at this late date in the pre-season, looks to be almost a done deal. Many clubs “wrap” their signings in cotton wool prior to a move being agreed and this definitely appears on the cards now.
